Bhoomi Jobanputra
Founder & Director
Syosset, NY

Bhoomi Jobanputra is a junior at Syosset High School on Long Island, NY. Driven by a deep interest in understanding human behavior, she has a background in philosophy, psychology and journalism. She is the founder of the BeTotallyU platform, a youth-led movement dedicated to promoting character development education through creative, engaging, and relatable content. The movement hopes to champion self-worth and moral reasoning among her peers and young children.

She is a passionate advocate for mental wellness. She serves on the National Teen Advisory Board for Bring Change to Mind and is a youth leader for the Cohen Strong Mental Health Program. She also is a Student Ambassador for the Retreat Teen Leadership Council in East Hampton, NY, which helps to prevent abuse and promote respect in all relationships.

Many of her initiatives focus on creating a positive social impact in the larger community. When she's not writing or advocating, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Bhoomi has successfully completed the online training course for the Congressional Medal of Honor Character Development Program, which helps educators learn about the program's core values and how to teach them in a variety of settings. The training includes videos, practical teaching guidance, and discussion segments to develop a deeper understanding of character development and critical analysis skills.
