Young Sheldon
Written by Krisha Mehta
In this show, Sheldon is a unique child who gets favored by his mom as he is smarter than the people around him. His mom is worried about him all the time because he has no friends and is always only studying. His family goes through a lot of problems and his mom’s mom lives with them. She always helps them out. There is some comedy in this show and it shows their family life.
There are 3 siblings. Sheldon and Missy who are twins and then Georgie who’s the oldest. Missy feels that Sheldon has their mom, and Georgie has their dad, but she has no one. This show centers around problems people go through and how their families are like on the outside with other people and on the inside when they are amongst themselves.
There are many lessons from this show:
1. Being different is okay: Sheldon is very different from other kids. He loves science and struggles socially, but he stays true to himself. I learned that you don't have to fit in with everyone. Your uniqueness can become your strength.
2. Family support is important: Sheldon's mom and grandma are very supportive of his differences and they help him to grow.
3. Failure helps you grow: Even Sheldon faces setbacks in school and relationships. But I learned that failure helps you improve and learn resilience.
